Our Misson
TSAV has always been conscious of the impact we place on our planet. As a growing business, we at TSAV feels that it is our responsibility to use business practices that will have the least amount of impact on our planet and local community. Since 2004 TSAV has encouraged and supported employee Telecommuting, as well as moved the TSAV offices to an area that is more centrally located for all employees. Moving the office closer to where our employees live allows our employees to carpool, walk, or ride a bike to work instead of driving their cars. When TSAV had outgrown its original office space, Owner Pete Dugas chose to renovate, rather than build a new office. TSAV is proud to have redeveloped 2 historic properties. The decision to redevelop these historic properties cut back drastically on the amount of resources that would have been spent on building new offices, and allowed TSAV to preserve the historic sites of Athens, and Macon Georgia.
All of us at TSAV feel that it is our duty to continue using green practices, and be an example for all businesses as well as our community.
TSAV is heading into the New Year with new environmentally friendly practices. TSAV recently purchased their first two work vans that run on biodiesel fuels. By the end of the 2008-year Pete Dugas, CEO of TSAV says that the entire fleet of work vans at both TSAV offices in Athens and Macon, Georgia will run on biodiesel. Over the past few years many companies have begun switching over to environmentally sound practices, allowing them to rely less on conventional fuels. Biodiesel is a partially renewable fuel source derived from natural oils. This alternative fuel works year round, in cold conditions, and is the most tested alternative fuel source on the market.
TSAV is the first audiovisual company within the industry to convert their work vans to biodiesel. Pete Dugas hopes that TSAV’s green practices will encourage their competitors to go green as well, and make “green” practices the industry standard. TSAV is the only service industry in Athens, Georgia to begin converting their entire fleet of work vehicles over to biodiesel. The offices of TSAV use long lasting low energy light bulbs. TSAV is committed to using environmentally conscious practices that are good for our planet and our business.
In our continuing effort to use green business practices, TSAV uses environmentally friendly recycling procedures throughout the offices as well as project sites. TSAV's large K-12 projects can produce a sizeable amount of waste. Project Manager Tom Santosky estimates that TSAV has recycled 10,000 pounds of material since beginning the K-12 installations this past summer. In an attempt to curb the amount of waste emitted TSAV places receptacles at all project sites where our technicians can carefully separate and recycle all installation refuse into its proper place.
TSAV is dedicated to continued environmental practices that are good for our community, planet, and business.
